After a long hot summer,
thoughts will often turn towards Fall/Autumn
This photo was taken at the Maverick Campground,
east of
Eagle Nest, NM
Dusting of snow on the mountains
Photo #270
I followed the path between the ponds
at Maverick Campground.  The walk
was worth it, the sun shining through
the trees, glistening on the river.  The
air was chilly as it had snowed lightly
the night before.  The air was crisp &
fresh, with the smell of moist earth &
leaves.

Ok,, I don't have to be told twice
to stay off that bridge.

made and repaired,,
Amazing :) :)

Like being at the shore,
only the tide is Way Out.
Kids slide down the gypsum dunes on discs
I just like to wander,
especially when yucca's are in bloom.
Many other types of flowering plants
& shrubs to be enjoyed as well.

Looking though the window..
This rock house was built in an "L" shape.
Even though it was misting rain, we spent
some time looking around.  Amazing the
way it was built.
I see things like this & wonder, what
happened to the family that built it

Stein, NM had been a
railroad town, many years
ago. Now only a few building
left standing, with 2 families
tending to the area.
The train still runs through
the town.
